Region 20 Names February Players of the Month
Congratulations to the Region 20 Players of the Month for games played in February, 2025. The Region recognized four student-athletes from four member institutions.
DI Men's Basketball
Alex Byrd, Fr., Wing, Allegany College of Maryland
Byrd averaged a double-double in February with 20.6 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. The freshman shot 45% from the floor and posted six double-doubles. Byrd scored in double digits in every game in February with two 30+ point games and two 20+ point games.
DI Women's Basketball
Eshé Knox, So., Guard, Harford
Knox averaged 20.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game for the Fighting Owls in February. She scored in double digits in six of seven games, and recorded three 20+ point games. Knox scored a career-high 41 points to go with 14 boards against Southern Maryland on February 22nd.
DII Men's Basketball
Jaiden Guy, So., Guard, Cecil
Guy led Cecil with 19.3 points per game on 59.6% shooting in February as the Seahawks went 7-1 and ascended into the NJCAA top-25. Guy averaged 7.8 rebounds, almost four assists, and three steals per game while shooting 87.2% from the free throw line. The sophomore scored in double digits in every game and saved his best performance for the regular season finale with 32 points and 10 rebounds in a win at No. 16 Montgomery. He paired 25 points with 14 boards in a victory vs. Catonsville, then dropped 22 points vs. Potomac State in the next game.
DII Women's Basketball
Jocelyn Fogle, So, F/C, CCBC Catonsville
Fogle was an integral part of CCBC Catonsville's undefeated February, averaging 16.8 points and 11.8 rebounds per game. Fogle recorded three-straight double-doubles: a 26-point, 16-rebound effort at Chesapeake on February 18; a 22-point, 10-rebound performance at Hagerstown on the 21st; and a 17-point, 19-rebound showing at Howard in the Cardinals' regular season finale.
