Region 20 Names January Players of the Month

Congratulations to the January 2025 Region 20 Players of the Month. We recognized seven student-athletes from six member institutions.

DI Men's Basketball
Jaylen Brown, Fr., G, Allegany College of Maryland
Brown averaged 17 points per game while shooting 54% from the floor and 85% from the free throw line. Brown averaged 5.6 rebounds, six assists, and 2.4 steals per game in January. He played 185 out of a possible 205 minutes as the Trojans went 3-2 on the month. Brown played all 45 minutes in an overtime win over CCBC Dundalk, scoring 10 of his 21 points in OT.

DI Women's Basketball
Maylee Regan, Fr., F, Allegany College of Maryland
Regan averaged a double-double in January with 15.4 points and 10.5 rebounds for the Trojans, who played seven games in January, including six in a nine-day span. Regan had five double-doubles in the month and averaged three assists, 1.6 steals and two blocks per game. She scored 15 points with 19 rebounds in a win over Frederick on January 15, and added a 22-point, nine block effort at Harford on January 22. In both games Regan had four blocks; she leads Region 20 Division I overall with 23 blocks.

DII Men's Basketball
Jaiden Guy, So., G, Cecil
Guy averaged 15.4 points per game and scored at least 10 points in seven of eight games for Cecil, which closed out January on a six-game win streak. He bookended the month with a pair of 20-point performances, including a team-high 23 in a win over Delaware Tech. Guy paired 15 points with a career best 14 rebounds for a double-double in a win over Hagerstown. He grabbed at least six boards in all eight games.

DII Women's Basketball
Gigi Gamble, So., G, CCBC Essex
Gamble averaged 23.5 points per game in January, shooting 57.6% from the floor and 50% from three-point range. Gamble was named the World Exposure Report NJCAA Player of the Week on January 27th for her performances against Prince George's (season-high 31 points, 57.9 FG%, six steals) and DI Monroe University (21 pts, 63.6 FG%).

DIII Men's Basketball
Terrance Pankey, Fr., G, Butler County
Pankey averaged 22.5 points per game in January with a pair of 33-point games and five 20+ point games. Pankey shot 53.7% from the floor while adding 9.9 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 3.1 steals, and a block per game for the Pioneers. In eight games, Pankey had four double-doubles.

Women's Bowling
Faith Shean, So., Westmoreland
Shean was the top female bowler in all four matches in January. She carries a 144 average through 12 games during the month. Shean had a high game of 173 and a high series of 452 on January 31st at CCAC.

Men's Bowling
Brady Huss, So., Pennsylvania Highlands
Huss has knocked down the most pins of any bowler in the Region with 3470 over five matches in January. He has the highest average of all bowlers with a 231.33. His bowled his highest game of the season (259) and best series (740) at CCAC on January 31st. Huss has been instrumental in the success of the Penn Highlands team as the Black Bears' captain.
